Just beyond the cork forests, in Montijo, is where our newly modernized corkwood preparation facility. Expanded and rebuilt in 2008 to improve the quality of our corkwood and the sustainability of our operations, our fully upgraded facility covers over 21,000 square meters. Among its many leading-edge features (designed to protect against contamination) is a sloped concrete corkwood seasoning park, a quality controlled warehouse for stocking pallets of prepared corkwood, and a high-efficiency stainless-steel corkwood boiler that enables more frequent water changes by utilizing innovative closed loop water-filtration and heat-exchange systems to reduce and conserve water, heat and energy use.

This unit is dedicated to the production of technical cork stoppers. It will have a production capacity of 600 million stoppers per year. The TALIS bartop unit is located here and has a capacity of 100 million p / year.
These units are dedicated to the branding, surface treatment, packaging and quality control of the stoppers that are sent to wineries. These units are located regionally in the different wine producing regions of the world (Australia, Argentina, China, Portugal, South Africa and USA) so as to be close to our customers.
